US Politics News – Incident and events of dated January 6, 2021, at the US Capitol Hill are remembered as a significant and controversial moment in the history of this great nation and its political environment.
This incident involved a violent breach of the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., where a joint session of Congress was in the process to certify the electoral college results of the 2020 presidential election. 5 people died in the violent attack for which Trump is blamed by majority of people and he has faced impeachment.
Supporters of Donald Trump claimed about widespread election fraud and Trump called for a rally near the White House and vowed Vice President Mike Pence to stop the congressional proceedings and send the results back to the States to be recertified, which Pence did not followed. At least seven people died as a result of the attack and over 140 police officers were injured.
Trump had made a series of tweets to make a great noise about his claims and to ensure that Democratic Government don’t get its foot. The incident on January 6th, 2021, resulted in a tragic loss of life, injuries, and significant damage to the Capitol building. The storming of the Capitol was widely condemned by leaders across the political spectrum as an attack on the democratic process.
